At Wooragee Primary School well established communication channels and positive community spirit encourage children to learn in a caring, family atmosphere where the children are the focus and individual needs are met.  There is a philosophy of multi-aging from Prep to Year 6.

Our School provides a broad and well-resourced curriculum covering all Key Learning Areas, including the regular visits by the mobile library, music and art teachers.

At Wooragee our children are provided with an exceptional range of extra-curricular opportunities. These activities range from involvement in water watch, land care and other local environment programs; cluster school activities with other local schools for excursions, sports days, arts performances, etc; involvement in the Wodonga Schools Arts Festival; visits by police re road safety, bike safety, Life Education Van; private music lessons for a variety of instruments; interaction with Beechworth Secondary College; swimming program and others.

We have excellent computer facilities and our range of reading books and mathematics equipment is constantly updated to the very latest available.

The school enjoys the strong support of the parents who demonstrate commitment to and involvement in committees, curriculum development, classroom activities, pupil welfare and the development of facilities and resources.  The parents are also committed to maintaining the grounds through working bees and grounds committee.

The School Council is very hard working and committed, and operates on the basis that decisions are made with “what is best for the children” as the priority.

The school has a vision of where it wants to be in the future.  Our strategic plan has developed clear goals for achievement over the next four years.

We are about to build a 21st centrury school building that will compliment our 21st century learning program. Building drawings will be loaded to this website when they are available.
